Happy Hormone Blend- .5 oz Loose Leaf Herbal Tea
Our Happy Hormone herbal loose leaf tea blend is both floral and minty. Available in half ounce and one ounce resealable pouch to maintain freshness.
Ingredients: Homegrown and sustainably harvested organic red rasberry leaf, yarrow, hibiscus, chamomile, strawberry leaf, and peppermint.
**Red raspberry leaf is known for strengthening the uterus! It is packed with antioxidants like tannins and polyphenols, which tone and relax the pelvic and uterine muscles while helping to protect the body from free radicals and oxidative stress. Red raspberry leaf is thought to help with bloating, indigestion, cardiovascular health, PMS and cramping, nausea, and sleeplessness.
****Caution*** Raspberry leaf tea should be avoided by individuals with estrogen-sensitive conditions (like breast/uterine cancer or endometriosis), those in early pregnancy, and people with a history of rapid labor or premature birth.
**Strawberry leaf is full of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, and vitamins like Vitamin A and C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, and Rutin, which not only boosts blood vessels and improves circulation, but also supports the immune system and helps to battle all sorts of diseases. Research suggests that strawberry leaf can also influence the concentration of hormones regulating metabolism, such as insulin and thyroid hormones.
**Chamomile is known to contain plant estrogens that have similar effects to pharmaceutical estrogen. The nutrients it contains may help manage diabetes, menstrual pain, endometriosis symptoms, and sleep issues. Some have reported increased libido and improved sexual function/satisfaction after using chamomile, while other studies have found that chamomile may be effective in easing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), indigestion, diarrhea, colic and gas.
**Yarrow has long been used to treat digestive issues like ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), symptoms of which include stomach pain, diarrhea, bloating, and constipation. Yarrow contains compounds called Luteolin V and Apigenin, which help reduce heavy flow and pain experienced during menstruation, as well as antispasmodic activity, which are known to decrease muscle spasms in the intestines and ease stomach cramping.
**Hibiscus has estrogenic effects that have been known to help balance hormones, regulate menstrual cycles and relieve menstrual cramps. Hibiscus is also rich in antioxidants, which may help with menstrual symptoms like bloating and mood swings.
**Peppermint has long been known to help improve hormone imbalance in women, especially in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The menthol active in peppermint can help reduce excess sebum production, soothe menstrual cramps, reduce stress and improve focus. It has also been said to help increase estrogen levels and decrease testosterone levels in men.
